Acabo de añadir los binarios OS/2 & eComStation de Scribus v1.3.3.6
(http://www.scribus.net) a http://smedley.info/os2ports
Scribus es un programa de código abierto que aporta el diseño tipográfico de
nivel profesional a los escritorios Linux/Unix, MacOS X y Windows con una
combinación de salidas "listas para la impresión" y nuevas aproximaciones al
diseño tipográfico.
Con un interficie moderno y amigable, Scribus soporta características de
publiciación profesional como color CMYK, separaciones, manejo de color ICC y
versátil creación de PDF.
EL binario para OS/2 & eComStation necesita libc061.dll - disponible
en: ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/gcc/libc-0.6.1-csd1.zip
Problemas conocidos:
- Scribus pretende estar en el directorio raíz - \scribus
- After exiting scribus, you'll see some errors about loading icon files
in the standard output - these are under investigation
- scribus plugins are currently not available
- after adding text in a text box, the text isn't visible until a screen
redraw is done - ie change zoom factor or middle mouse click to force a
redraw
- If a file called fonts.conf doesn't exist in %HOME%\fonts.conf, one
will be created automatically when scribus.exe is run for the first time,
however, Scribus will crash with signal 11. On the 2nd attempt to load
scribus.exe, it will load fine.

The Scribus Team is pleased to announce the release of Scribus 1.3.3.7. This release is purely a further bug fix release to the recently released 1.3.3.6.
This release adds more translation updates, some bugs were found and fixed, many improvements to the SVG importer. A new splash screen and other artwork were contributed by Kevin Young.
One of two major additions to this release is the porting of Scribus to OS/2 by Paul Smedley. This port is lightly tested and there are some known issues noted in the readme for OS/2, along with notes on installation. No major code changes were required and in testing it has been fairly stable.
The other is the availability of a new OpenSuse rpm download repository for all Suse versions 9.3+, including SLED 10. To download add:
http://software.opensuse.org/download/home:/mrdocs/ to your yast/apt/smart source list for the corresponding Suse version. We hope have this for Mandriva and Fedora 5+ shortly.
As we announced previously, there will be no more development or bug fixes to 1.2.x series. We now recommend all distributions package only Scribus 1.3.3.x.
