siento no poder actualizar ese servicio como querría, pero al menos así quedará constancia de algunas novedades. Intentaré completar los huecos.
Paul Smedley has released (5/6/2007) an OS/2 port of Stunnel version 4.20. Also
available (12/22/2004) is another port of version 4.05. This is
a program that allows you to encrypt arbitrary TCP connections inside SSL
(Secure Sockets Layer); you can secure non-SSL aware daemons and protocols
(like POP, IMAP, LDAP, etc).
TrafficVisor III has been updated
(5/6/2007). This is a program to collect and analyze TCP/IP traffic.
kLIBC version 0.6.2 and GCC 3.3.5
CSD2 have been released (5/5/2007). GCC is an open source compiler; features of
the OS/2 port include fork() support, symlinks, chroot support, and many new
functions. The kLIBC runtime is used by many OS/2 ports of Unix
applications.
GNU bash version 3.1 p17 has been
ported (5/5/2007) to OS/2. This is a Unix shell, useful for programming.
Paul Smedley has released (5/5/2007) an OS/2 port of MySQL 5.0.37. Also available
(2/12/2005) is another build of MySQL 4.1.7. The MySQL database
server is the world's most widely used open source database. The OS/2 port
features named pipes, data replication, >2GB databases, and more. There is a
mailing list for
discussion.
ACPI driver version 2.21 was released (5/5/2007) on the eComStation Betazone (for Software
Subscription customers only). Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI)
is a replacement for APM, PnP, and related hardware features. It features
support for multiprocessor systems (SMP, Dual Core, and HyperThreading), and
there is an APM driver available (poweroff works, but suspend causes traps if
you have an Intel NIC!). There is an ACPI Tools web page as well.

MultiZilla 1.8.3.2a has been
released (5/5/2007). This is an extension that adds more features to the tabbed
interface in Seamonkey.
DFSee has been updated (5/4/2007) to
version 8.15. DFSee is an FDISK, display, analysis and recovery tool for disks
and filesystems. It includes the ability to resize FAT and FAT32 partitions,
has some JFS and LVM support, and is now shareware. There is also a support forum available. From

Cameraderie
version 1.5 has been released (5/4/2007). This is a GUI downloader and
organizer for digital cameras, supporting both PTP and MSD types. Source code

SDLMAME
version 0.114u4 has been ported (5/4/2007) to OS/2. This is an SDL version of
the Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator.
sane2twain
version 0.90 has been released (5/3/2007). This is an open source TWAIN
interface that will enable programs like PMView and Maul Publisher to acquire
images from your scanner, via the SANE library. You should get TAME working
before attempting to use sane2twain. From VOICE News.
Paul Smedley has updated (5/3/2007) his OS/2 build of Gnash, an open source Flash movie
player. It supports many, but not all, Flash version 7 features. Note that
there is not a browser plugin yet.
SmartSVN version 2.1.7 has been
released (5/3/2007). This is a Java Subversion GUI client, with features like
built-in File Compare/Merge, Change Report or Tag and Branch handling, and
more. It requires Java 1.4.1 or higher.
WDSibyl has been updated (5/2/2007). This
is an open source continuation of the commercial product Sibyl, which is a
Pascal / Delphi compiler. From OS2.org.
MagicDraw UML 12.5 beta 2 has been
released (5/2/2007). This is a Java based UML modelling tool.
Paul Smedley has ported (5/1/2007) BIND version 9.4.1 to OS/2. Also
available (8/7/2001) is another port of version 8.2.4. BIND is
the Berkeley Internet Name Daemon.
Walter Meinl has updated (4/30/2007) the OS/2 build of Lightning 0.5pre; this
is a Thunderbird extension that provides calendar support. You can find it on

Page. Also available (10/13/2006) - Peter Weilbacher has released OS/2
builds of
Sunbird and
Lightning version 0.3, the current Mozilla calendaring solutions. Sunbird
is a standalone program, and Lightning is an extension for Thunderbird. See the

newLISP version 9.1.5 has
been ported (4/30/2007) to OS/2. This is a LISP-like scripting language for CGI
programming, system administration, text processing, etc.
PM Downloader version
1.02 has been released (4/29/2007). This is an interactive multithreaded
network retriever which supports HTTP and FTP protocols for downloading
files.
Paul Smedley has released (4/29/2007) a WarpIn package of Perl version 5.8.8, which uses
klibccfg instead of requiring PERLLIB_PREFIX. Also available (12/18/2003) is an
older port of version 5.8.2.
Perl is a stable, cross platform programming language.
Java GUI
version 1.8.1 has been released (4/29/2007). This is a GUI front end for
running programs with Java.
Paul Smedley has released an OS/2 build (4/28/2007) of Samba server version 3.0.25rc3. Unlike the
older Netlabs port, it does not require Security/2. There is also beta 15 of a
client plugin for the NetDrive Filesystem, which supports 64-bit file I/O with
NDFS 3.0 or higher. It allows you to mount SMB or CIFS shares on OS/2 without
the need of NetBIOS (IBM LAN Manager or IBM Peer).
The Panorama VESA video driver was updated (4/26/2007) on the eComStation Betazone (for Software
Subscription customers only). This is a generic VESA driver, which supports all
VESA 2.0 compatible video adapters. There are also some "widescreen
activators" available for Intel and ATI chipsets, which hack the VESA BIOS
to support some widescreen modes. Users with SMP systems and/or widescreen
panels may find this useful if there isn't an accelerated driver available;
there is also an FAQ

PDFMergeNX
version 2.0 snapshot has been updated (4/26/2007). This is an application for
manipulating PDF and PS files; it provides a graphical interface on top of
GhostScript, XPDF, and ePDF.
eSchemes
Deluxe 3.5 alpha 4 and Piano Launchpad have been updated (4/25/2007). It
consists of new WPS classes which simplify browsing of pictures; it offers a
preview window and image viewing, with support for many common graphics
formats. Piano Launchpad is a replacement for the old IBM Launchpad, with
support for large icons. eSchemes will be a component of eComStation 2.0, while
eSchemes Deluxe is a standalone product; it can be purchased through Mensys. From OS2.org.
Lux Delux version 5.62 has been
released. This is a Java-based game of strategy and domination inspired by the
board game Risk.
C.a.R. version 6.1 has been released.
This is a Java program that simulates school geometry constructions with a pair
of compasses and a straightedge (ruler).
Walter Meinl has updated (4/24/2007) Enigmail 0.95.0 for OS/2; this
allows you to use GnuPG with your email in Thunderbird and/or Seamonkey. You

Timeset version 0.93 was released (4/24/2007) on the eComStation Betazone (for Software
Subscription customers only). This is a utility for configuring Internet-based

PHPMyAdmin version 2.10.1 has
been released (4/23/2007). This is a set of PHP scripts to administer MySQL
over the web.
Robert Blair has released (4/20/2007) a Sodoku game for OS/2.
The game acts as a "whiteboard" for Sodoku puzzles, and is considerably easier
(and a lot more fun) to use than paper and pencil. A sample puzzle is included
to help you get acquainted with the program, along with a REXX script to
download the daily Sudoku puzzles from the "Sudoku Online" web site. Thanks to

WPIView version
1.04 has been released (4/20/2007). This is a utility to view, install, and
extract WarpIN packages.
The Java Imaging Utilities version
0.14.2 has been released. This library offers functionality to load, analyze,
process and save pixel images.
The Broadcom BCM4401 NIC driver has been
updated (4/18/2007) to version 1.05.04; it is currently a test version.
Bridge2-Hi version 1.4 has been released
(4/16/2007). This allows you to input Chinese characters into any PM

FlashBlock version 1.5.3 (for
Firefox 1.5.x and later) and version 1.3.6 (for other Mozilla browsers) have
been released (4/14/2007). This is a Mozilla / Firefox extension that replaces
Flash animations with a "click to play" placeholder.
SigmaMD5
version 2.0 has been released (4/15/2007). This is a PM program that reads and
creates MD5 checksum files, compatible with the GNU MD5SUM program. It provides
a clear visual indication of checksum status (error's etc.) as well as error
sorting and comprehensive logging facilities. It is useful for verifying that
CD ISO images are valid prior to burning them to disc.
Smart Cache Loader version 0.28
has been released (4/15/2007). This is a very configurable web grabber with
special Smart Cache support.
Jigsaw version 2.2.6 has been released
(4/10/2007). This is a web server written entirely in Java, provided by the W3C
organization.
PrefBar version 3.4 beta 2 has been
released (4/9/2007). It allows you to configure several Mozilla settings on the
fly, and incorporates the features of UABar.
OS2MT has been updated (4/9/2007) to version
0.68 beta. This is a maintenance tool that enables you to download and install
various applications with a couple clicks of the mouse. There is also a
mailing list for it on Yahoo
Groups.
General Network Utilities has
been updated (4/9/2007). This is a powerful Internet diagnostic tool kit
featuring several tools designed to help you quickly identify problems, locate
where the problem is, and gather data which can be used to solve the problem
either directly or through your Internet Service Provider. From OS2.org.
Doodle's Screen Saver version 1.7.5
has been released (4/7/2007); files are currently on NetLabs FTP. This screen saver integrates into
the WPS, replaces the old Lockup Desktop facility, has DPMS support, and can be
extended with new screen
saver modules. It allows third party applications to disable the screen
saver temporarily, for example while watching a movie.
An
OS/2 port of Cairo version 1.2.4
has been released (4/7/2007). Cairo is a vector graphics library designed to
provide high-quality display and print output. Note that Mozilla is moving
towards using Cairo as its rendering
engine.
KShell version
0.6.0 has been released (4/7/2007). This is a replacement VIO window, which
allows DBCS input and output even on non-DBCS OS/2, with support for
scroll-back and clipboard.
WPS-Wizard
version 0.5.2 has been released (4/6/2007); the latest version can be found on
Hobbes.
This is a WPS addon which gives you freely configurable context menus for all
filesystem objects. You may have different extended menus for different
classes. There is also an addon that adds theming classes to the WPS so PNG
image files may be used as icons. Cairo is used for rendering, so
alpha-blending can be used.
bootAble version 4.5.1
has been released (4/6/2007). This is a script which can be used to create a
maintenance partition or bootable CD with enough facilities to fully manage and
recover your system. It contains support for LVM, HPFS, JFS, FAT32, UDF, and
the CD file system.
CPMap
version 0.9 has been released (4/6/2007). This is a graphical program that can
display a complete character map of any OS/2 codepage (including ones that are
not normally displayable).
ChatZilla version
0.9.78.1 has been released (4/5/2007). This is the IRC client that comes with
the Mozilla suite. It now supports SSL and full Unicode nicknames.
TYPO3 version 4.1.1 has
been packaged (4/4/2007) for OS/2. This is a Web Content Management System,
released under GPL, that uses Apache, MySQL, and PHP. From VOICE News.

graphical firewall port configuration utility was released (4/3/2007) on the
eComStation Betazone (for

DBCSMAP
version 1.21 has been released (4/1/2007). This is a character map program for
Unicode and selected DBCS codepages (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean). Characters
can be copied to the clipboard as codepage-specific text (UTF-8 for Unicode
text), and in "text/unicode" format as supported by Mozilla.
DOSBox Front
End version 4.9 has been released (4/1/2007). This is a GUI front end for
launching games using DOSBox. Thanks to Chris Roossien for the news.
z! has been updated (3/31/2007). This is a
textmode MP3 player, that can also handle ogg, streaming audio (Shoutcast), and
has normalize support. The latest release can be found here.
JamochaMUD version 1.8 has been
released (3/31/2007). This is an open-source Java MUCK/MUD client.
Harbour version 0.99.2 has been
released (3/31/2007). This is a free software compiler for the xBase superset
language, often referred to as Clipper (as implemented by CA-Clipper). Thanks

XPDF version
3.02 has been ported (3/30/2007) to OS/2. This is a tool to convert PDF files
to text or Postscript, display PDF file information, or extract images from PDF

YSM version 2.9.9.1 has been
released (3/29/2007). This is a portable open source console ICQ client.
ProjectX version 0.9.5
beta has been packaged with some OS/2 startup scripts. This is a Java program
that converts, repairs, and/or cuts DVB (MPEG-2) files. From OS2.org.
JExpress Professional 7.0.6 lets you
create Java-based multilingual installers and auto-updaters. An easy to use
Swing interface lets you design your installers quickly without requiring any
programming. It can also select the exact classes your Java app uses, build
your directory tree, and produce JAR files.
WarpIN version 1.0.15 has been
released (3/27/2007). This is an open source PM installer / uninstaller, that
can also install quietly through environment variables. It also offers
self-installing executables. The latest release can be found on Hobbes.
UpdCD version 2.61 has been released
(3/25/2007); this is an update that should be installed over an existing 2.6x
version. It has a PM interface and supports many OS/2 addons. It can be used to
update Warp 3, Warp 4, WSeB, MCP, or eCS installation files with FixPaks, and
supports the creation of updated installation floppies. You can use the updated
OS/2 image in combination with these floppies to create new installations of
OS/2 which already incorporate the FixPaks and other software. Thanks to Zsolt

Workplace
Sans version 0.3 has been released (3/25/2007). This is a Unicode TrueType
outline font that is designed to resemble the OS/2 bitmap font "WarpSans."
GetMyIP version
1.0.8 has been released (3/25/2007). This program will retrieve your external
IP address which may be dynamically assigned by an ISP.
wxWidgets (formerly wxWindows) version
2.8.3 has been released (3/24/2007). This is a sophisticated cross-platform C++
framework for writing advanced GUI applications using (where possible) the
native controls.
Caravan has been updated
(3/19/2007) to version 3.42. This is an application server which has built-in
http, smtp, ftp and database engines. It also provides a scripting language, a
dynamic compiler and basic features needed to develop, test and run
applications.
Panoply version 2.1.5 has
been released (3/19/2007). This is a Java application which enables the user to
plot raster images of geo-gridded data from netCDF datasets. Depending on the
data, it can draw global longitude-latitude images or pole-to-pole
latitude-vertical images.
RxLVM version
0.5.1 has been released (3/19/2007). This is a library of REXX functions for
accessing information from the OS/2 Logical Volume Manager (LVM). You can get
information about drives, volumes, and partitions, query Boot Manager, and
check for removeable media.
An
alpha 2 build of rdesktop
version 1.5 has been released (3/18/2007). This is a free RDP client which you
can use to connect to a Windows NT/2000/XP Terminal Server. Unlike earlier
builds, it uses SDL and does not require XFree86/OS2.
ODIN GUI
version 1.9 has been released (3/18/2007). This is a GUI front end for running
programs with Odin. Thanks to Chris Roossien for the news.
SIM Instant
Messenger version 0.9.4.3 has been ported (3/17/2007) to OS/2. This is a
powerful plugin-based multi-protocol instant messenger, which includes support
for ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo!, and Jabber IM protocols, and also can post into

FM/2 version 3.05 beta 8 has been
released (3/17/2007). This is an open source GUI file manager program, with
lots of extra helper utilities.
Gendatam Suite beta 3 has been released
(3/16/2007). This is a Java family history application, providing support for
the Gedcom format.
Ghostscript version 8.56 has
been released (3/15/2007); also available is GSView version 4.8 (2/25/2006).
Ghostscript is a freeware postscript interpreter/converter for generating
Acrobat (PDF) documents, and GSView is a graphical document viewer that uses
Ghostscript as its display engine.
K Movie Player
version 0.2.2 has been released (3/14/2007). This is a movie player based on
FFPlay, without SDL dependencies and support for WarpOverlay.
pbook version 1.3b has been
released (3/14/2007). This is a GUI tool designed to help you manage the phone
numbers in your GSM cellphone, attached to the infrared or serial port. From

An
OS/2 port of dvddao version 1.3.6
has been released (3/13/2007). This is a tool for writing DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R,
DVD+RW, and DVD-RAM discs.
MindTerm version
3.1.2 is now available; this is a SSH client written in Java.
The
OS/2
port of GNU Privacy Guard version 1.4.7
has been released (3/11/2007). This can be used to encrypt data and to create
digital signatures, is a complete and free replacement for PGP, and is
compliant with OpenPGP.
Guiffy version 8.0 has been released
(3/5/2007). Guiffy is a file compare / merge (diff-like) tool with a GUI
implemented in Java.
The
Java Image Browser Sorter
version 1.8.4 has been released (3/4/2007). This program requires Java 1.4.
Pauker version 1.7.4 has been
released (3/3/2007). This is a generic flashcard program written in Java. You
can use it to learn all the things you never want to forget, like vocabulary,
capitals, important dates, etc.
